This week, Jefferson Elementary was visited by David Reynolds of Taft College with activities for two second grade classes related to the up and coming STEM program. Reynolds' brought with him fossil replicas that the students were able to clean off and discover which kind they had.
The STEM Mobile Science Center, a forty foot long trailer with various tools for scientific, hands on training, is still under construction but Reynolds said that the program is still going on. His visit with the second graders was a small glimpse of what the entire program will be capable of in the coming months.
