Officials from Taft City School District have announced that registration will be held March 8 - 24 for children entering kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year.
Eligible students must be five years of age on or before December 2, 2010. At the time of registration, children will be required to present a birth certificate, immunization record (to include three Hepatitis B, MMR #2, and varicella or physician's statement of having had chickenpox disease), record of a current physical exam (not to be given before February 16, 2010), proof of TB skin test within one year of current date, and proof of residency (current rent receipt, utility receipt, etc.). As of January 1, 2007, the pupil must have an oral health assessment by a licensed dentist or other licensed or registered dental health professional. The assessment must be performed no earlier than 12 months prior to initial enrollment of the pupil. Physicals and immunizations may be obtained from your local physician.

Conley School, March 22 - 24 - 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.
Jefferson School - March 8 - 9 - 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.
Parkview School - March 15 - 17 - 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.
Taft Primary School March 8 - 9 - 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.
School officials encourage parents to register their student(s) on the above dates. Early registration helps in preparing for each school site's needs for kindergarten classroom staff.
