Taft High School Orientation February 22
February 5, 2010
Taft Union High School will host Orientation Night for eighth graders at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, in the Mullen gymnasium.
The event will showcase the activities at the school from sports and clubs to electives and academies, explained Assistant Principal Rona Angelo. "We want to show all the opportunities available, all the good things going on," she said.
The incoming freshmen and their parents will get an overview of the high school and will be able to schedule counselor appointments so they will have priority to sign up for popular classes and summer school classes. Staff will be on hand to answer questions. The new students will receive free Class of 2014 T-shirts, popcorn and prizes.
"We are excited to welcome our new class to the "Cat family," Superintendent/Principal Mark Richardson said.
