Ribbonz 'N Curlz

R 'N C Children's Boutique, also known as Ribbonz 'N Curlz recently opened at 401 Center Street. Owner, Lisa Ritter makes custom clothing and outfits, bows, hair accessories and baby accessories for the boutique. New clothing is also available for girls and boys from infants to size 14, and all clothing is under $30. Not only is R 'N C a children's boutique, but also a great place to have a party. With a runway down the center of the store your children can get dressed up and "Strut their Stuff" down the runway. Parties include everything for a full head to toe dress up party from the invitations, dress up clothing, hair, make up, nails, photo shoot, fashion show, dessert and more!
"We try to make it as easy as possible for you." said Lisa.
Lisa, a local Taft resident and mother of 3 girls, has been in business for herself for 4 years making custom clothing and hair accessories and wanted to open up a location to sell her items as well as have parties.
"The boutique and the party aspect go hand in hand and has been a dream of mine for about 15 years," said Lisa.

Taft's Storkclub

Taft's Storkclub, a children's re-sale and consignment shop opened at 428 Center Street this week. Owner, Lucette Bottomly opened the business as an alternative way to buy and sell children's clothing.
"My daughter is pregnant right now and she always wants me to help her find gently used clothing on Ebay, so I thought this would be a good way for people in Taft to buy and re sale their children's clothing as they grow out of them so quickly," said Lucette.
Taft's Storkclub is currently carrying boys and girls items in infant to pre-teen sizes, as well as toys, books, furniture and children's accessories. Taft's Storkclub is also currently accepting consignments of washed, gently used clothing and gently used toys and books. Adam's Custom Upholstery

Adam's Custom Upholstery shop recently opened at 608 Center Street. Owner, Adam Phipps, specializes in custom upholstery but mostly works on cars, boats, furniture, and antique furniture. Other projects range from hot rods to restaurant and oilfield truck seats. Adam has been working with upholstery for 22 years and has been in business for himself for 9 years. Socorro's Mexican Grill in Maricopa Grand Opening

Socorro's Mexican Grill in Maricopa held its Grand Opening in Maricopa on Thursday. Maria Acala, owner of Socorro's, is no stranger to excellent Mexican Food. Maria is the former owner of Maria's in Taft (where Taft Crude Coffee House is now located), and La Fonda Restaurant. With over 12 years restaurant experience and work in several local restaurants, Socorro's in Maricopa promises to be a big hit with the locals. The new restaurant is located across the street from the Maricopa Shell station on Highway 166.
