Taft Westside Little League Receives $35,000 Donation From Synagro For Batting Cage Complex
July 3, 2009
The Westside Little League of Taft, CA is proud to announce that Synagro
Technologies, Inc. has made a generous donation in the amount of $35,000 to allow the
League to construct a batting cage complex adjacent to the current setting of the ball fields at the George Blanco Little League complex on the northeast edge of town.
Synagro representative Lorrie Loder made the presentation of the donation to League
President Josh Bryant at the League’s 2009 Closing Ceremonies to the roar of the crowd in attendance.
“This gesture of commitment to the children of the Westside by Synagro will have an impact far beyond the near-term” says Westside Little League President, Mr. Josh Bryant, “On behalf of the community, the League, and –most importantly – the children we serve, ‘Thank You’. Words simply can never express the gratitude we feel today and the joy we have in finally seeing the financial seed required to begin this project getting planted.”
League Officials are already hard at work planning the construction of the facility which, they say, will eventually be available to the community as a way to keep local children active and interested in team sports. A projected completion date is yet to be determined, but hopes are high that the project can be completed in a relatively small 12-month period.
